Happy 34 Month Birthday Max!

Max,

I cannot believe another months has passed so quickly. I am 3 days late on your official birthday latter because on the day of your 34 month b day we were in the ER with a 104 temp. It was not fun but  a dose of motrin and 3 lollipops later, you were doing ok. It was scary and I am glad you are better. It was just some virus but just in case we got you tested for H1N1, which is some crazy flu that is going around (I will explain in the years to come).

So what has happened this month? You are loving pre-school and you don’t even say good bye to me anymore. As we get to the second floor, where your class is located, you start to walk fast and then we get your classroom door and you grab your ELMO book bag and take off. I am so proud of you. Your teachers say that you are starting to use your words in class, which means your feel comfortable. As for your words, I have about 175 words that you say and you add more daily. Yesterday you told me to move out after you were dont your burger and when we were about to leave you said, Rock and Roll! You cracked me up. I had to call your dad and your MEME (MIL).

Yesterday I took you to get your second blood test ever and even though you cried, I was so proud of you. We went to Chestnut Hill hospital and you sat on Moms lap and I held you down and they got the blood. Then, as promised, we went to Borders and got 2 new stickers books.

Yes, stickers books are your favorites! You love trucks, trains, cars, Dinosaurs,  and anything boy. You enjoy some books but prefer to do things like stickers, anything with an action. You also enjoy imagination play like cooking in your kitchen and pulling your sister on a car in the basement. It is very cute-we tied two cars together so you can pull her around.

You are still so sweet with your sister. You guys are like an old married couple, always fighting and then hugging. You help me put her to sleep every night, you pat her back when she is sad and you wrestle and roll with her when she is happy. You always want her near you. You are very proud of her and protective.

I knew the day you were born how much I loved you but I did not know that my love for you would grown daily. We will sleep together and I have come to realize that is just what you need and I made a promise to you when you were born that I would listen to your needs and still create solid parent boundaries but this is one place that I really listen. You need me to be next to you at night and that is ok. I am here for you. You also still love your bottle and that is ok too because I am sure you will let go of it when you want. It is comfort blanket. I am listening to you! I love you sweetie.

You are a lover at heart! And where did you get those eye lashes? I am so jealous!!
