My dearest little girl,

So much has happened in the last month. We moved to the beach for the summer and now you are officially a beach baby. You love to play with the sand, play on the beach and splash in your baby pool. You enjoy drifting off for a quick cat nap in the ocean air. You enjoy staying on the beach for about two hours and then you are ready to go. I think it annoys you that you cannot play with Max and dig but one day you will.

You are teething. You shove anything and everything in your mouth hoping for some relief. You actually had three nights where I gave you tylenol just so you could sleep. But most nights I give you Belladonna or Chamomilla, homeopathy, for your discomfort. You have been sleeping in your swing for the past month and getting up a lot and just last night I did not go in to get you. You cried a little but you actually slept better. You are funny because if you know that I will come and get you-you will actually not want to sleep but both of us need sleep. So we are doing gentle sleep training again and hopefully you will be back in the crib soon.

You are always smiling and you are always happy. People think you are adorable and I rarely can go anywhere without people wanted to pinch your cheeks. You love being held but you also love your independence. You have such personality already.

You have started to pull your body into the crawl position and rock your body back and forth. You have not figured out how to get your right leg/foot out of the way but you will.

You still are not really interested in food. You enjoy the mesh feeder but most other foods you are not interested. I have only tried plain yogurt, sweet potatoes, and winter squash. I know you will eat when you are ready.

Things you love are Twinkle Twinkle, splashing in the bath tub, snuggles, dolls and stuffed animals, being naked, kisses, ice cubes, drinking out of a water bottle, playing with Esther, stroller rides and of course watching your brother.

I love you so much. I love having a little girl. I love that we are already best of friends. I will always be there for you and I will always try and understand what you need from me as a mother. Happy Birthday my sweet angel.
