My girlfriend and I set out with our kids, about a month apart and she has a little girl, at 9:30 am. It was storming, cold and wet and horrible traffic but we were determined to get our kids to the New Jersey Camden Aquarium. We made it..and hour later but we made it. We even ended up being detoured and we still kept going. We arrived at the parking lot and it was really pouring. We jumped out and got the strollers ready and got the kids out and ran as fast as we could. Our shoes were soaked, the kids were kind of wet and laughing and our hair was drenched but we were at our destination and kind of laughing ourselves.
Note to self: Do not go to the aquarium on a rainy Friday. It was so busy but it still was fun. Also I was so smart because this morning I bought a annual pass online and so out tickets were waiting at WILL CALL. Damn I am good and now I can take 3 quests with me. HOW DAMN FUN!! Plus my friend is really chill and just relaxed. It is cool to be with her because she is one of those moms that just goes with the flow. Actually they are coming over for BBQ tomorrow so our guys can meet.
One of the cutest parts of the day is when Max and Tyler hugged 3 times in a row. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. I guess he really likes her because he usually only hugs his dog and us that way. So damn cute.
Today I packed all the right snacks and we saw everything. It was great, On the way out we bought them french fries and then battled the rain again and again, we were soaked. Our kids slept on the way home and then we got Thai food and pigged out (my friend, who I met at the playground and lives 5 mins from me is also pregnant), and then we played the rest of the day. We left her house at 5:15 pm and got home and ate dinner and danced around the kitchen and then a bath and then bed. What a cool day! So today I felt like the best mom.
