Yes, I know you look at this kid and say, “how could this little angel have tantrums” but I am sure you know what I am talking about. Max in general is a great kid and I am sure that every other kid is the same but I am a first time mom and I am just leArning that Max will throw a tantrum if he is upset, over tired or irritated. He will also throw a tantrum to test me or anybody taking care of him.
I am realizing that with walking came a whole lot more of I AM A BIG KID SYNDROME. Yes, Max thinks he is a bog kid and compared to 13 months ago he is but he still needs to know his momma is the pack leader.
I have to admit that it makes me want to pull my hair out. I am lucky to go to music class and see other kids acting this way and then I realize, like usual, that I am not the only one going through this stuff. I saw a kid have a tantrum today and I thought his mom was going to pull her hair out too.
All of the sudden he does not like his high chair. When we were away he sat in one of those wood high chairs and sat at the table. Does anybody have a good one they like? He needs to be able to be at the table.
As for the tantrums-I am parenting by instinct. There are times I pick him up and there are times I just let him cry-take a breath-and tell him that he must be upset and sometimes in life we can not always get what we want right away and yada yada.
What do you do with this kind of stuff?
