It has been almost a year since Ronni delivered Max. I was just thinking about her today and how amazing of a midwife she was and bam-we bumped into her at our favorite lunch spot in Chestnut Hill-Top of the Hill Cafe. It was wonderful to see her and it was great that she was able to see how much Max has grown and that he is a big kid now compared to when he came into the world.
I am so fond of Ronni as a woman, mother and midwife. She made the experience seem so much less scary. She helped me to know that I could deliver without drugs and that I could do it and I did it. Max was delivered with no drugs and in a compound presentation..but doctors would have given me C Section. So today I was reminded of my power as a woman. HEAR ME ROAR!!!
Now the coolest part is that she moved hospitals and she is now delivering at a hospital that is 5 minutes from my house. Plus the hospital can do water births as well. I am so psyched. I sounds a little crazy but it is so cool.
