It has been a while since I did a sleep post. Well I have been working on Max’s self soothing. Usually I rock him to sleep but I have been rocking him, then putting him in his crib half awake and not even patting him to sleep. I am watching him play with his feet to self soothe and play with his hands and roll around. As I said before, for us, we have pretty much co-slept until he was 6 months and now we co-sleep half of the night. I think we would have stopped it earlier but Max has a really tough time being put down so we co-sleep for sanity.
Max is getting better at being put down and I am just staying patient. Thank goodness for my hubby because he always reminds me that it is a journey. I am sitting down with Daphne Goldberg on Wednesday to discuss his sleeping and ear infections. I feel confient that Scott and I will do what is best for our family.
All in all, Max is a great kid and I am always honored to be on this journey with him. He teaches me so much.
