I am proud of myself as a mother trying to go the natural way but this stinky ear infection got worse and it has been 10 days of garlic oil drops and homeopasthic ear drops and still no change-instead it got worse. So I guess it was a bacteria infection. Poor kid. I am sure this has been going on for over A MONTH because that is when the poor sleeping began.
My motherly instinct had me calling the cotor last night to say that I thought it was getting worse. Max was not screaming but just digging into his ear with his nails and just not sleeping too well.
I was right. They checked his ears today and realized that things were not so pretty in there. He took his first antiobiotic today and already is doing better.
As for his sleeping, I can now put him down right after I nurse him and rock him for just a few minutes. He lays his head down, maybe lets out a cry or two and then starts to rub his hands together, (it almost loks like he is planning an escape) and starts to self soothe.
It is really cool to watch him take c are of himself. Of course I am his momma and love to be there for him in every way but it is neat to see my little baby boy growing up.
