Dr. Daphne Goldenberg thought it would be better to use Motrin for the pain. It is working a little better but still not great. At least I am feeling less frustrated because I am realizing that it is nothing I am not doing…it is just teething and for some babies, like Max, it is really bad. It pains me to watch him swing his head back in forth in pain. He has been having a tough time going to sleep. So instead of rocking him for close to 2 hours I just take him to the kitchen and let him munch on frozen fruit. It seems to help with the teeth.

As for my other topic..baby cellulite..Isn’t it strange that when we see babies with cellulite we think it is cute? Max has tons of cute cellulite on his butt and it so so adorable.

Well since I last posted and realized that other moms go through this teething business and realized that we all do what we need to do..so I am putting Oragel on and it seems to be working. Now of course it did not work wonders for Scott last night when he had to watch Max so I could attend a work event.

I talked to Scott at 8:45 pm, thinking I would hear..oh yeah Max has been asleep for and hour or more but no he was strolling him in his stroller around the kitchen. The thought of it made me laugh so hard. I could see the dogs in thier cages and Max in his stroller with his Dad pushing. But I have to say..he never called me and he did what he needed to do to get him to go to sleep. But he did say…How does a baby fall asleep without a boob? So I told him to take some lessons from the babysitter. I thought that made sense.

As for life today, we went and met an old friend of mine that I have not seen in almost 3 years, Miss Suzy. It was great. I had seen her 2 weeks ago but it was just wonderful to be with her. She is one of those friends that you have where you can feel tired, crappy, ugly and stupid and you still feel good when you are with her. I do not have many people like that in my life. I have a friend named Andrea and I have Scott. I consider myself lucky to have 3.

I feel like all I write about is teething but Max has had a really bad time. I have noticed that since the teething got bad, I am blogging less. I just don’y have the energy to write. I just know my nights feels longer than my days, I am getting up with him constantly and so we have just moved into the spare bedroom. I feel so bad for him but I also am frustrated because I am so tired. It stinks and it must really stink to be him.

I actually put Orajel on his gums tonight because he was banging his head back and forth on the chair..he was so tired but could not get comfortable and he was crying and rolling and wiggling and well, I put it on and he closed his eyes and went to sleep. Maybe for a few nights, I just need to use this toxic stuff because he is not a happy camper.

As for the babysitter, she is amazing. I feel so lucky that we found her.

Well tomorrow night I have to work an event for work and so I will try to post early but if not, see you the following day.

Max at Yom Kippur

So this was our night and you can see from the picture that he was eating. The spread was so good: waffles, frenh toast, eggs to order, lots of chocolate and goodies, cakes, cookies, lox, kippered salmon, bagels and the list goes on. As for Max, one hand to his mouth and one hand in the tray reaching for more.

The holidays were great but his sleep cycle sure paid for it..well I mean I payed for it since he did not go to sleep until 10:30 pm last night. His body was used to being up late but thankfully tonight he went to sleep at 7:30 pm like usual.

So I told you guys that we hired back the old one, right? well if not, we did. We had the new one start and she did not even play with Max. Kind of strange huh? She just sat on the couch and watched him. Not good so we got the old one back and then she told me that she could not do it. Now keep in mind that I truly believe that things happen for a reason and so the OLD and the NEW were not meant to be.

So I posted and ad on Craigslist and found Shannon along with 20 other responses. I had promised myself that we would interview a few and then decide. Shannon walked in the door and got right on the floor with Max and he crawled over to her and let her pick him up. Now he does not even do that with our own famaily members. She also left him alone wbhen he pushed backed. She listened to him. She is also so giggly and I love that. They played ands we talked and it was great. She is a nanny full time and she loves kids. This is what she wants to do. She is so sweet. So with all said and done..we hired her.

She also can work weekends and so I may actually go out on a date with my hubby. That would be so cool.
