Just thought I would end this day with a great picture of Max. He did not fall asleep as easily as he usually does because I had some chocolate today at lunch with a friend. Typically he falls asleep around 7 30 to 8 pm but tonight 9:45 pm. It is funny-I do not sleep like I used to and I have not slept for more than 3 hours in a while but I really don’t mind. Of course I look forward to the day when I will sleep again for longer than 3 hours but this is what being a mom is all about.
Bottom line: I am very grateful to have these times in the middle of the night when Max nestles up agianst my body to nurse and takes his hand and rubs my shirt. He then falls back to sleep. And that is my night.
