My hubby seems to think it is allergies but I think it is allergies that lowered my immune and then a nasty cold came in and took over. Max seems to be doing much better. He has not had a fever for over 2 days and he is laughing, smiling and getting back to his old self. The only part of his day that is not back to normal is his sleeping. He is not going to bed until 9 pm to 10 pm, UGH. I am going to try giving him his baths earlier and see if that jogs his memory. Anyway, he is fast asleep in his crib (getting him used to sleeping in there) right now which is nice because I needed to take a long HOT shower.

I have so much respect for my mom and other moms who get sick and take care of the little ones without reservation. As my mom would say..”Welcome to MOMHOOD. You just do it and you don’t even think about it”. My head hurts, I am coughing up junk, my jaw hurts, my throat hurts but I am a mom now and none of that matters. Isn’t that strange? All of the sudden, it does not matter..well that is okay because I spent enough of my life having all of the attention.

I was supposed to go to La Leche League meeting with one of my friends but I will have to go next month. I was really looking forward to meeting some other moms but this can wait, my health is more important and the health of the other moms.

About 3 weeks ago Max started something called the fake cough. At first I thought that maybe it was real but Dr. Daphne confirmed my thoughts..we have a Faker in the house. He will wake up in the am and cough a few times to see if anyone is looking and then during the day..sometimes he let’s out a fake cough and then laughs. I know this is his way of talking aadn saying..hey guys, pay attention to me. Hey, I would do the same. So wheree did he learn this from?

I think this is so funny but I try not to let Max know that I think it is funny because then the faker may start doing something else, like fake hiccups. LOL
