I am in love with Max’s new pants. I ordered these, American Apparel Karate Pants, and he looks so cute in them. I also love that his chubby legs have room to move around. American Apparel is also so soft and comfy.
I also ordered this, Mei Tai Baby Sling, since the little man is getting really big. My over the shoulder baby sling was not doing the job anymore.
I am in love with this, , Hyland Homeopathic Products. Hyland has been so helpful for Max. He will be screaming his head off and then I give him 3 tablets and 5 minutes later, the baby who we know as Max returns. I give him 3 tablets before bath time and then 3 tablets during the day, when he starts to cry. I have tried to give him teething toys but he does not love them. He makes this face of disgust when I try to show him that the teething rings or an iced towel go in his mouth. But he does love shoving his hands, fists, and any blanket into his mouth. Just in case you are thinking this…I DO NOT LET HIM SHOVE BLANKETS OR BURP CLOTHS IN HIS MOUTH WHEN I AM NOT WATCHING.
Max’s sleep has not been that great. He is up nursing every 2 hours, which is common for a lot of breast feeding babies, but he was sleeping for longer stretches. Last night he wanted to play at 3 am and had a 10 minute fist shoving session as well. I can only imagine that this little guy does not feel totally comfortable and so he wants to nurse and be close to his momma. At 3:15 am I remembered that there will be few times in his life when we will have quiet times like this together. So for these times..I am grateful to have them..even when they are at 3:OO in the morning.
It appears Max is as in love with Goodnight Moon as his mother is. I am so happy that I take the time to read to Max and place books in his hands all of the time. I always place him on a pillow and then the book under him or I put a book at the bottom of his feet when we are in the car, just so he knows that books are all around.
I had a tough time reading when I was little but I did overcome that with a little help so for Mister Max I am going to make it fun. I also think he is so proud of himself when he is reading on his own. He has not figured out how to turn the pages but I am sure that will come soon.
I am rarley not in the same room with Max but lately he has been waking up when the dogs bark. I am sure he is in a lighter sleep due to teething so I am reading a book to him and then laying him down updstairs in his crib. Bottom line: Baby Monitors stink. There is so much interference. Of course, I have the one with the digital picture but the static is so bad that I cannot even use it. Any suggestions for a new one? Or if you do not use one then I would love to know what you do.
As for the house, things are moving along and it looks like the Pugs and Max will have a large yard to grown up in and play. I thought i would never leave the city but after Max was born, well it just seems right.
Max is doing much better since I am giving his teething tablets. He is so much fun and he has such a personality. I wonder where he got that from? HEHEHE
Max I look at you everyday and those cheeks get even chubbier than the day before. You are such a great baby. Right now you are shoving your hand in your mouth and you are so proud. I love you so much.
